Dallas Road Show and a sale that grew 19 fold!!!

Dear Friends,

We completed our first Road Show event on Friday in Dallas.   It was great to see our Texas dealers and introduce ICON Cloud Solutions and our product strategy for both SMB and Medium to Large Enterprise.  ICON's direction of providing both a CPE and cloud strategy through a common product platform was well received.  Being able to have a single solution that will support any combination of premise to cloud based deployment is truly unique in the industry.  We demonstrated our ability to also support other integrated applications such as SARA in both a Cloud and CPE delivery model.

Instead of me going on about what we will present, as you will have the chance to see it live during the Road Show, let me simply site an unsolicited testimonial that was great to receive during our Dallas visit.

EXPANDING THE REVENUE OPPORTUNITY WITH YOUR CUSTOMER

Fidel Hernandez with Comtex in Austin, TX (Many of you know Fidel) explained that he
recently was contracted for a cable installation at an assisted living center,  a nice cable job worth around $20K.   When he inquired about their telephone needs they said they would welcome a proposal.  He proposed an Open Touch SMB system and received the contract, another $27K.
 
But wait there is more, while further speaking with them he found out that they had not yet provisioned their data equipment.  He engaged an  Alcatel-Lucent  sales engineer and working together they were able to secure a sale for Alcatel Lucent gear, another $28K.
 
Fidel did not stop, he then thought what the heck and asked about their notification needs.  He brought in the Status Solutions experts and the customer fell in love with their application.  Result another $50K in a SARA sale. 
 
What started out as a $20K cabling job turned into a single site order totaling $125K,  and now they have asked him to do two  more sites.  Fidel turned a $20K data job into what will be worth a total of $375K or basically almost 19 times the original order!!!!!!
 
Ya just got to ask the questions and we will get the team in there to support you!!!!!  Fantastic job Fidel!!!!

ICON Roadshow 2014 kicked off this morning at the Alcatel-Lucent EBC in Plano, TX. Right now listening to Joseph Gaughan's preso on the Alcatel Instant Acccess Points. Today the focus is the SMB opportunity for voice, data and wireless, new SMB hosted / cloud voice offering and updates on the ICON product portfolio including Iwatsu ECS. Tommorrow the launch of ICON Cloud Solutions! Register
